The NEBOSH L’Oréal International Bursary Program 2026 is now accepting applications from women seeking to start or advance a career in occupational health and safety. The bursary provides 20 fully funded study places for the NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, one of the most widely recognised safety qualifications globally.
The programme is designed to support women working in, or aspiring to work in, health and safety roles by removing financial barriers and offering access to high-quality professional training.
About the NEBOSH International General Certificate
The NEBOSH International General Certificate equips participants with practical and internationally relevant health and safety knowledge. The qualification is:
- Applicable to every workplace and industry
- Suitable for managers, supervisors, and those with safety responsibilities
- Ideal for individuals beginning a career in health and safety
Participants will learn how to:
- Manage health and safety systems effectively
- Identify, assess, and control common workplace hazards
- Measure health and safety performance
- Understand key international health and safety standards
The Bursary
- 20 fully funded bursaries available
- Open to women based outside the United Kingdom
- Delivered in English only
- Covers tuition for the NEBOSH International General Certificate
Study requirements include:
- Minimum of 65 taught hours
- Around 40 hours of recommended self-study
- Approximately 2 hours of tutor support
Assessment consists of:
- An open-book examination (OBE)
- A practical workplace risk assessment
Learning Format
The course is delivered live online through real-time Zoom classes, providing an interactive classroom experience accessible from anywhere in the world. Bursary recipients will also have the opportunity to connect and network with fellow participants globally.

- 9 March 2026: Judging period
- 25 March 2026: Winners announced publicly
- 8 or 9 June 2026: Programme begins
