The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has postponed the opening of its recruitment portal for shortlisted candidates invited for physical screening and document verification across its paramilitary agencies, including the Nigeria Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and Nigerian Correctional Service.
In a public statement signed by the Secretary to the Board, Major General A. M. Jibril (Rtd), the Board said the portal, which was initially set to open on 1 December 2025, will now open at a later date that is yet to be announced. According to the notice, the postponement affects all shortlisted applicants across the four paramilitary agencies under the Board, including the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).

The CDCFIB advised all shortlisted candidates to continue checking the official recruitment portal, recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, for updates regarding the new opening date for screening and document verification. The Board also emphasised that further announcements will be communicated via its official website and verified social media channels.
While no specific reason was given for the postponement, the CDCFIB apologised for any inconvenience the delay may cause and expressed appreciation for applicants’ patience and interest in the recruitment exercise.
Shortlisted candidates are urged to remain alert and avoid unverified information circulating on social media. Applicants should rely only on official CDCFIB communication channels to avoid falling victim to misinformation or recruitment-related scams.
