The SAP Young Professionals Program 2026 is a free, intensive training initiative designed to prepare young African graduates for careers as SAP Associate Consultants. Delivered by SAP’s Digital Skills Center, the program equips participants with globally recognised SAP certifications, practical knowledge, and essential workplace skills needed to enter the SAP ecosystem.
The two-month program focuses on both technical and functional consulting skills and is aimed at recent graduates who are ready to transition into the enterprise technology and consulting space. Upon completion, SAP works closely with graduates to connect them with employment opportunities across SAP customers and partner organisations. While job placement is not guaranteed, graduates gain strong visibility within the SAP ecosystem.
About the SAP Consultant Role
SAP Consultants play a key role in helping organisations implement and optimise SAP solutions, particularly SAP S/4HANA systems. The role is broadly divided into two tracks:
- Functional Consulting, which focuses on business processes such as finance, supply chain, procurement, sales, and human resources
- Technical Consulting, which involves system configuration, data integration, and technical solution delivery
Consultants contribute across the full project lifecycle, including system design, implementation, optimisation, upgrades, and ongoing support. They also work closely with clients to ensure SAP solutions deliver measurable business value and high customer satisfaction.
Certification Focus: SAP End-to-End Business Processes
Participants are trained on SAP’s End-to-End (E2E) Business Processes, which integrate multiple business functions into a single, intelligent workflow. These processes eliminate operational silos by connecting sales, finance, procurement, supply chain, and HR into one unified system, improving efficiency and decision-making.
