Applications are now open for the 2026 ASU Graduate Certificate Scholarships, offered by the Mastercard Foundation in partnership with Arizona State University (ASU).
These scholarships support flexible, fully online professional graduate certificates designed to equip young African leaders with in-demand skills in global management and supply chain management. Participants who successfully complete a graduate certificate will be automatically considered for a fully funded online master’s degree through the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program.
A core expectation of the program is that scholars apply their knowledge and skills to drive social and economic transformation within their communities and home countries. Women, refugees and displaced persons, and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
Available Graduate Certificate Programs
Scholarships are available for the following part-time, online programs:
- Graduate Certificate in Foundations of Supply Chain Management
- Graduate Certificate in Global Management, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Be a citizen of an African country with a strong commitment to ethical leadership and community engagement
- Be between 18 and 33 years old on or before the application deadline
- Demonstrate a proven record of leadership and community service
- Show academic excellence and ambitions that exceed available financial resources
- Have earned an undergraduate degree by July 2026
- Have no prior or current master’s degree enrollment before or during the program
Scholarship Value
The ASU Graduate Certificate Scholarship includes:
- Full tuition coverage for the selected ASU graduate certificate
- A flexible, fully online learning format
- One-on-one coaching and mentorship
Outstanding participants may be selected for a fully funded online master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Leadership/Management-related fields.
