Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the Fulbright Foreign Student Program, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of a participating country and reside in that country at the time of application
- Possess the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record by the program start date
- Demonstrate English language proficiency, typically through:
- TOEFL (PBT): minimum 550
- TOEFL (iBT): minimum 79–80
- IELTS: minimum overall score of 6.5
- Not hold U.S. citizenship or permanent residency (dual U.S. citizens are not eligible)
- Meet country-specific eligibility criteria, which vary by nationality

Application Requirements
