Türkiye Scholarships 2026 offers fully funded study opportunities for international students seeking to pursue undergraduate, master’s, PhD, and research programmes in Turkey. The scholarship is funded by the Government of Türkiye and covers a wide range of academic disciplines across top Turkish universities.
Through the Türkiye Scholarships Application System (TBBS), successful applicants are placed in a university and academic programme based on their qualifications, interests, and priority fields of study.
Scholarship Categories
Associate Degree Scholarships (TVET)
These two-year technical and vocational programmes are designed to equip students with practical, career-focused skills and professional training.
Undergraduate Scholarship Programme
This programme is open to international students applying for bachelor’s degrees across disciplines, including engineering, health sciences, humanities, and social sciences.
Graduate Scholarship Programme
Master’s and PhD scholarships are available in social sciences, humanities, natural sciences, and engineering at leading Turkish universities.
Merit Scholarship Programme
The Merit Scholarship supports academically outstanding students and offers a monthly stipend that is twice the standard allowance for the selected study level.

Short-Term Scholarship Programmes
Success Scholarship Programme
Designed for international students already studying in Turkish universities with personal funding who demonstrate exceptional academic performance. This programme provides a monthly stipend only.
Research Scholarship Programme
Available to PhD holders or PhD candidates at the dissertation stage, this programme supports international researchers conducting collaborative research with Turkish academics.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Open to citizens of all countries
- Minimum academic requirements:
- Associate & Undergraduate applicants: 70%
- Health Sciences applicants (Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy): 90%
- Master’s & PhD applicants: 75%
- Age limits:
- Undergraduate: under 21
- Master’s: under 30
- PhD: under 35
- Research: under 50
Important Notes
- Applicants currently studying in Türkiye cannot apply for the same study level
- Short-term programmes may have additional requirements
- Medical specialisation programmes are not covered
Scholarship Benefits
Türkiye Scholarships is fully funded and covers:

Monthly Stipends
- Undergraduate: 4,500 TL
- Master’s: 6,500 TL
- PhD: 9,000 TL
- Research Scholarship: 25,000 TL

Upload all required documents. It is also recommended to include information about your extracurricular activities and achievements in different fields. - Select University and Program Preferences
List your preferred universities and academic programs according to your study interests. - Write a Letter of Intent
Write an original letter of intent explaining your preferences, expectations, academic goals, and plans. - Review and Submit Application
Carefully review all application stages and uploaded documents, then approve and submit your application.
