The Mastercard Foundation, in partnership with Arizona State University (ASU), is inviting applications for the 2026 Innovation and Technology Scholarship. This fully-funded graduate program is designed to equip Africa’s next generation of leaders with advanced skills in technology, innovation, and sustainable development — preparing them to shape the future of the continent’s digital economy.
Over the next five years (2025–2030), the program will train 120 talented African professionals at the master’s level through immersive, two-year, on-campus programs in Phoenix, Arizona. For the 2026/2027 academic year, 30 full scholarships are available, covering tuition, living expenses, travel, health insurance, and more.

Eligibility Criteria for the Innovation and Technology Scholarship
To be considered, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of an African country, committed to ethical leadership and community engagement.
- Be aged 18–33 years on or before 14 September 2025.
- Demonstrate academic excellence and financial need.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree by August 2026.
- Not have started or completed any other master’s program before August 2026.
- Meet ASU’s English language proficiency requirements.
- Be willing and able to live in Phoenix, Arizona for the program’s duration.
- Show a proven track record of leadership and service.
Special encouragement is given to women, refugees and displaced persons, and persons with disabilities.
