The Munich Intellectual Property Law Center (MIPLC), in partnership with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), is offering fully funded scholarships for students from developing countries through the Development-Related Postgraduate Courses (EPOS) programme. What the DAAD MIPLC Scholarships Cover
Successful applicants will receive:
- A full MIPLC tuition fee waiver
- Monthly stipend of €850
- Health, accident, and liability insurance in Germany
- Travel allowance (unless covered by other sources)
- Study and research support grant
- Mandatory two-month German language course (August–September) before the start of the programme
Who Can Apply for the MIPLC Scholarships
Applicants must meet both MIPLC and DAAD EPOS requirements. To qualify:
- You must be from a developing country listed on the OECD DAC list.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree (minimum 4 years) or equivalent with above-average results.
- Your most recent academic degree should not be older than six years at the time of application.
- You must have at least two years of full-time professional experience in a public or private sector role in your home country.
- You must not have resided outside your home or another developing country for more than two years.
Note: While academics can apply, this programme primarily targets professionals working in policy, legal, or development sectors.
Application Timeline & Process
- Application window: June 1 – October 15, 2025 (for the 2026 intake)
- Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a video interview in January/February 2026.
- Final selection is made by the DAAD in March 2026.
