
Fully Funded Portugal Government Scholarships 2025–2026
Applications are now open for the Portugal Government Scholarships 2025–26, offering fully funded opportunities for international students to pursue undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral studies in one of Europe’s most welcoming academic destinations. This scholarship programme is administered by the Portuguese Government through the Directorate-General for Higher Education (DGES) and aims to support outstanding students from around the world.

Eligibility Criteria

- Be a citizen of a non-EU country (international applicants)
- Have completed prior academic qualifications relevant to the programme level (e.g. secondary school for bachelor’s, bachelor’s for master’s, etc.)
- Demonstrate academic excellence
- Show language proficiency in either Portuguese or English (depending on the programme)
- Be committed to full-time study in Portugal for the duration of the programme
- Applicants from developing countries and underrepresented communities are strongly encouraged to apply
