About the Mastercard Foundation Scholarship at KNUST
The Mastercard Foundation Scholarship at KNUST provides access to quality education for academically talented but economically disadvantaged young Africans. Scholars are empowered to give back to their communities and contribute to Africa’s transformation.
The program aims to train 2,250 scholars over 15 years (750 Scholars in Phase I: 2014–2019 and 1,500 Scholars in Phase II: 2019–2029).
Eligibility Criteria for this Scholarship
To be considered, applicants must:
- Hold genuine and valid WASSCE, GBCE, ABCE, GCE O Level, A Level or equivalent results (not more than five years old).
- Meet KNUST’s admission requirements.
- Demonstrate critical economic needs.
- Show proven leadership and community engagement.
- Be female, displaced, or living with a disability (priority groups).
- Be willing to “Go-Back and Give-Back” to their communities.
- Not currently enrolled in any tertiary institution.
