The World Habitat Awards 2027 are now accepting applications from organisations and individuals delivering innovative solutions to critical housing challenges around the world. Organised by World Habitat, the awards recognise housing projects and programmes that demonstrate practical, sustainable, and scalable approaches to improving living conditions.
The awards spotlight initiatives that address housing affordability, resilience, sustainability, inclusion, and community wellbeing, while sharing proven ideas that can inspire change globally.
Who Can Apply
Applications are open to anyone representing or collaborating on a housing-related project, including:
- Individuals
- Non-governmental organisations (NGOs)
- Public institutions and local authorities
- Private sector initiatives
- Academic institutions
- United Nations programmes and agencies
Eligible Projects
To qualify, projects must meet the following criteria:
- Be directly related to housing
- Be ongoing or completed within the last 10 years (from the application closing date)
- Demonstrate innovation, impact, and good practice
- Not be submitted as a grant or funding application

The World Habitat Awards recognise outstanding projects through Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards.
Gold Award Winners Receive:
- £10,000 in prize money
- A World Habitat Award trophy

Silver and Bronze Award Winners Receive:
