Education entrepreneurs from around the world are invited to apply for the 2026 Milken-Penn GSE Education Business Plan Competition (EBPC), a global platform designed to help innovative education ventures scale their impact.
The competition supports founders building solutions that improve teaching and learning across early childhood, K–12, higher education, workforce development, and lifelong learning. Selected entrepreneurs gain access to funding opportunities, expert mentorship, and a powerful global network of investors, educators, and industry leaders.
About the Competition
The Milken-Penn GSE Education Business Plan Competition is hosted by the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education (Penn GSE) in partnership with the Milken family. Since 2010, the competition has supported purpose-driven ventures that address pressing challenges in education through innovation, research, and technology.
Each year, shortlisted teams receive tailored venture development support and opportunities to connect with potential customers, partners, and funders. Finalists are invited to participate in a live competition event in Fall 2026.
Who Can Apply?
The competition is open to education entrepreneurs worldwide who are developing solutions that advance teaching and learning. Ventures may be at early or growth stages and can operate in both nonprofit and for-profit models.

- AI and emerging technologies in education
- Teaching and learning innovation
- Early childhood education
- K–12 education technology
- Workforce and lifelong learning
- Online and distance learning in higher education
- Global and cross-border education solutions

- Connecting research to classroom practice
- Open and collaborative education ecosystems
