The programme is designed to equip participants with practical agricultural skills, entrepreneurial knowledge, and hands-on experience needed to build successful careers in farming and agribusiness across Nigeria.
About the Leventis Foundation Training Programme
The Leventis Foundation Nigeria is a charitable organisation committed to youth empowerment through agricultural education and sustainable use of natural resources.
Since 1987, the Foundation has trained thousands of young farmers through its network of agricultural schools located across key agro-ecological zones in Nigeria, including FCT, Osun, Kano, and Gombe States. These schools are jointly supported by the Leventis Foundation and respective state governments.
The one-year programme offers immersive, hands-on training across multiple areas of agriculture, value chains, and farm enterprise development.

Who Can Apply
The programme is open to both male and female applicants who are motivated to build sustainable careers in agriculture and agribusiness.
Admission Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be between 18 and 40 years old
- Be physically fit
- Ability to read and write in English (a minimum of junior secondary education may be required)
- Demonstrate a clear interest in agriculture
- Pass both the written and oral selection tests
- Proof of a farming background is an added advantage
