Backed by Renew Capital, a pan-African investment firm with a presence in 13 countries, the Renew Venture Lab is designed to empower African founders with the resources they need to scale rapidly. Since 2012, Renew Capital has supported Africa’s innovation ecosystem by investing in promising startups and offering strategic guidance tailored to local realities.

Programme Structure
- Pre-Lab Training: All applicants will learn how Renew Capital and other investment firms operate, understand the investment process, and the documents involved.
- Venture Lab: Shortlisted companies will participate in a structured training series combining online modules and live coaching.
- Pitching: Selected startups will pitch their businesses to Renew Capital’s investment committee.
- Investment: Finalists that pass due diligence will receive equity funding ranging from $50,000 to $300,000, with potential for follow-on investment.
