Ikeja Electric has announced the 2026 edition of its Young Engineers Program, a 12-month structured training opportunity designed to develop early-career Nigerian engineers for the power and energy sector.
The program targets recent engineering graduates who are eager to build strong technical and professional foundations within Nigeria’s electricity distribution industry. Participants will be immersed in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment that combines classroom instruction with hands-on, on-the-job experience.
Through guided rotations and mentorship, trainees will gain practical exposure to power distribution operations, maintenance, projects, and emerging smart grid technologies. The program is structured to equip participants with function-specific expertise while preparing them for long-term careers at Ikeja Electric and within the broader energy sector.
Program Duration
- 12 months of structured learning and development
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Recent graduates in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
- Minimum of Second Class Lower Division / Lower Credit
- Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)
- Not more than two years of work experience
- Maximum age of 28 years
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated interest in power engineering and energy systems
