The Loeb Fellowship at the Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD) invites mid-career professionals from across the world to experience a transformative academic year at Harvard University. This prestigious programme offers participants the opportunity to pause, reflect, and reimagine their influence on the built and natural environment while joining a global community of over 450 distinguished alumni.
Each year, selected Fellows immerse themselves in Harvard’s dynamic environment — attending classes, collaborating with faculty, and engaging in stimulating discussions that shape the future of design, urban development, and sustainability. Beyond academics, the programme helps Fellows refine leadership skills, broaden perspectives, and strengthen their capacity to drive social and environmental change.
Eligibility
- Open to mid-career professionals with 5–10 years of relevant experience in their field.
- Ideal candidates are leaders and changemakers with a proven commitment to improving communities.
- Applicants should be at a reflective stage of their careers but still possess the drive to make a future impact.
- The fellowship is meant for practitioners rather than academics on sabbatical or artists seeking residencies.
- Most Fellows are around 42 years old, though age is not a limiting factor.
