The National Peace Corps Association (NPCA) is currently accepting applications for its 2025 Fellowship. This opportunity is designed exclusively for Returned Peace Corps Volunteers who are eager to contribute to NPCA’s flagship platforms, including WorldView magazine, newsletters, the organisation’s website, and social media channels.
The fellowship provides practical experience in content creation and media production, offering a platform for strong storytellers who want to highlight global issues and strengthen the Peace Corps community. With a $5,000 stipend, it is a valuable professional step for candidates who combine editorial expertise, creativity, and a passion for communication.
Fellows’ responsibilities include:
- Writing, researching, and editing weekly stories, features, and member profiles for NPCA’s magazine and website.
- Supporting the creation and distribution of digital newsletters.
- Maintaining and updating content on NPCA’s WordPress site.
- Developing and scheduling creative posts across Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and other social platforms.
- Proofreading and copyediting to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Producing digital media materials, including graphics, ads, and designs, through Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Preparing and editing multimedia content, such as photos and videos, for publication.
- Assisting the communications team with general editorial and production tasks.

Eligibility Criteria
- Open only to Returned Peace Corps Volunteers.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in journalism, digital media, or editorial work (graduate students with suitable skills may also apply).
- Strong ability in writing, editing, and proofreading with keen attention to detail.
- Skilled in tools such as WordPress, Mailchimp, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro).
- Knowledge of social media management and engagement strategies.
- Experience editing visual and video content for multiple platforms.
- Capable of meeting deadlines, managing tasks independently, and collaborating within a remote team.
- Understanding of or direct ties to the Peace Corps community is considered asset.
