The MAP Academy & Nalli Fellowship is a joint initiative by the renowned heritage textile brand Nalli Silks and the MAP Academy, designed to encourage deeper engagement with South Asia’s rich cultural and artistic histories. The fellowship seeks to foster innovative projects that highlight the region’s diverse textile traditions and promote wider appreciation among global audiences.
Through this fellowship, participants are invited to explore and reinterpret the stories, techniques, and cultural significance of textiles, creating work that bridges academic research, creative practice, and public engagement. The program provides both financial support and a platform for early- and mid-career professionals to contribute meaningfully to the preservation and reinterpretation of South Asia’s textile heritage.
