The Chevening Clore Leadership Fellowship is a prestigious opportunity for mid-career professionals in the arts and culture sector to grow their leadership skills in the UK. This fully funded programme is a partnership between the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and Clore Leadership, offering a highly tailored leadership journey alongside other global cultural changemakers.
Each year, five international fellows join a cohort of around 20 others, drawn from various fields including museums, film, performing arts, archives, heritage, and cultural policy. Over the past two decades, this programme has nurtured many of the world’s most dynamic and forward-thinking cultural leaders.
What the Fellowship Offers
Selected fellows will benefit from a well-rounded, UK-based leadership experience, including:
- Two residential leadership courses
- Skills-based workshops and a 360° leadership profile
- A secondment at a UK cultural organisation
- Mentorship or coaching support
- Customised learning experiences (conferences, courses, sector visits)
- Opportunities to publish thought leadership work
All fellowship costs are covered, including:
- Two return economy flights to the UK
- Accommodation and living expenses
- Costs related to courses, conferences, travel, and development activities

Who Can Apply for the Chevening Clore Leadership Fellowship
You must:
- Be a citizen of one of the eligible countries
- Plan to return to your country after the fellowship
- Have a degree equivalent to a UK second-class honours or relevant professional experience
- Have at least 5 years of work experience
- Have strong English communication skills
- Not hold British or dual citizenship
- Not have worked with HMG (UK Government) or its affiliates in the last two years
