Eligibility Criteria of the FRIAS Fellowship

• Applicants must possess a completed doctoral degree and at least eight years of post-doctoral research experience.
• Must have five peer-reviewed publications dated after January 1, 2016, with at least one co-authored work.
• Must be currently based at an institution in an African country.
• Must have a minimum of six months of academic experience outside the country where their first degree was obtained.
• Must have earned either a Master’s or PhD from an African university.
• A Letter of Cooperation from a professor at the University of Freiburg is mandatory.
