The Pollicy Fellowship 2025 is officially accepting applications, offering a unique and transformative opportunity for emerging African thinkers and changemakers. Launched in 2017, this prestigious fellowship has consistently served as a springboard for aspiring leaders—students, creatives, technologists, researchers, and community organisers—who are eager to engage with and influence the continent’s digital and civic landscapes. Through this programme, fellows explore the intersections of civic technology, digital rights, and feminist data practices, collaborating to imagine and co-create a more inclusive and empowered Africa.
Fellowship Roles
For the 2025 cohort, Pollicy is looking to onboard three passionate and skilled fellows who will play active roles in advancing key data and civic initiatives within the organisation. The available roles include:
- Francophone Community Engagement Fellow – focusing on engagement within Francophone African regions to strengthen grassroots participation.
- Grants & Growth Fellow – supporting fundraising strategies and organisational growth.
- Games Design Fellow – contributing to the development of interactive, educational tools and games that promote civic awareness and digital literacy.

Benefits
Each fellow will receive a monthly stipend of USD 500, along with an internet allowance to support their participation in the program. Beyond financial support, fellows will benefit from weekly mentorship sessions, opportunities for professional development, and hands-on experience working directly on real projects. Fellows will also have the chance to publish their work, whether through blogs, toolkits, public campaigns, or innovative digital games. The fellowship will culminate in the presentation of a final public-facing project developed by each fellow.
Participants will also gain lifetime access to an expanding network of alumni, collaborators, and civic tech practitioners, offering lasting connections and support for future career and activism endeavours.
