IAPS is offering the AI Policy Fellowship.

Applications Open: Fully-Funded AI Policy Fellowship 2025 in Washington, D.C. or Remote

The International Alliance for Policy Solutions (IAPS) is offering an incredible opportunity through its AI Policy Fellowship 2025 — a fully-funded, three-month programme designed to equip future leaders in the AI space.

The Fellowship will run from September 1 to November 21, 2025, with participants choosing either a fully in-person experience in Washington, D.C., or remote participation from anywhere in the world. Applications close on May 7, 2025, at noon Eastern Time, so early action is strongly encouraged.

Fellowship Structure and Financial Support

The programme starts with a mandatory two-week residency in Washington, D.C. from September 1–12, bringing together fellows, IAPS experts, and policymakers for intensive workshops, training, and networking.

Fellows receive generous financial support to focus full-time on their projects:

  • Senior Fellows: $22,000 stipend
  • Fellows: $15,000 stipend

Part-time options are available for exceptional candidates who may have constraints. All fellows, whether in-person or remote, also receive professional development support, weekly coaching, and networking access to help them transition successfully into AI policy careers after the programme.

Who Should Apply for the IAPS AI Policy Fellowship?

The Fellowship welcomes applications from professionals across a wide range of backgrounds, including those in industry, government, academia, and think tanks. Whether you’re a technical expert, a policy analyst, or a professional interested in emerging technologies, this opportunity is open to candidates at various career stages.

There are two fellowship tracks:

  • Senior Fellows (for more experienced professionals)
  • Fellows (for early-career or mid-level applicants)

IAPS encourages applications from all nationalities and is committed to supporting both in-person and remote participation globally, subject to administrative limitations in a few countries.
