Mission 300 Fellowship 2025: Transform Africa’s Energy Future — Paid Fellowships for Young Professionals
The Mission 300 Fellowship 2025 offers a rare opportunity for talented young African professionals to work at the heart of government decision-making and lead the charge towards electrifying 300 million Africans by 2030. The Mission 300 Fellowship program is inspired by the ODI Fellowship Scheme, which has demonstrated the value of embedding skilled professionals in public institutions for long-term institutional strengthening.
Launched by the World Bank Group and African Development Bank, with support from The Rockefeller Foundation, RF Catalytic Capital, the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP), and Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL), the Mission 300 Fellowship empowers a new generation of leaders to drive real change.
The Mission 300 Fellowship 2025 presents a transformative opportunity for young African professionals passionate about energy access and sustainable development. This fully-funded, two-year program embeds fellows within high-level government institutions across Africa to support the ambitious goal of electrifying 300 million Africans by 2030.
About the Fellowship
Mission 300 Fellows will be placed within the offices of Presidents, Prime Ministers, or senior energy and also finance ministries across Africa. They will work alongside top government officials, Mission 300 partners, and Compact Delivery and Monitoring Units (CDMUs) to implement their country’s National Energy Compact — a bold, government-owned action plan to overcome energy poverty.
Assignments are full-time and last 24 months, giving Fellows a front-row seat to policymaking, reform delivery, and major electrification projects.
