Applications are now open for the 2026 Morgan Stanley Small Business Academy, a competitive educational program designed to support and empower small business owners.
The Academy helps small businesses strengthen their competitive advantage, improve procurement readiness, expand their networks, and build the strategic capabilities needed to win contracts—particularly within financial services and related industries.
The program includes a 12-week virtual, instructor-led learning experience, followed by a one-year mentorship program designed to provide continued guidance and support.
About the Program
Morgan Stanley recognises that many small businesses face systemic barriers and resource limitations that make it difficult to access major corporate opportunities.
The Small Business Academy provides practical training, expert-led instruction, and direct engagement with Morgan Stanley professionals to help business owners:
- Differentiate themselves in the procurement process
- Strengthen operational and financial management skills
- Position their companies for sustainable growth
- Compete effectively for large-scale contracts
Eligibility Requirements
Location
Small businesses must be based in:
- The United States
- Canada
- Europe, the Middle East, or Africa (EMEA)
Ownership
- Certified small businesses
- Businesses operating in underserved communities
Revenue Requirements
Applicants must be registered for-profit companies with annual revenue (net profit) within the following ranges:
- United States & Canada:
Minimum $100,000 USD and maximum $2,000,000 USD - EMEA:
Minimum $50,000 USD and maximum $1,000,000 USD
Years of Operation
- United States & Canada: 3–12 years in operation
- EMEA: 2–12 years in operation
Additional requirements:
- The business must align with at least one of Morgan Stanley’s service areas
- Participants must be members of the company’s executive committee
- A maximum of two participants per business may enroll

Participants who complete the program and present a compelling business case—incorporating lessons learned and a clear implementation plan—may gain potential access to capital through a pitch to a panel of Morgan Stanley judges.
