Young people are at the centre of the global fight against climate change—and the Max Thabiso Edkins Climate Ambassador Program exists to ensure their voices, ideas, and actions shape a more resilient future.
The Max Thabiso Edkins Climate Ambassador Program 2026 is a global youth leadership initiative delivered by the World Bank’s Youth2Youth (Y2Y) Community in partnership with Connect4Climate (C4C). The programme honours the legacy of climate advocate Max Thabiso Edkins, who strongly believed that meaningful youth inclusion is essential to addressing climate and development challenges.
Now in its fifth edition, the program brings together young changemakers from around the world to learn, collaborate, and take action on some of today’s most pressing global development issues.
