Applications are now open for the 2026 African School of Regulation (ASR) Scholarship Program, offering 10 fully funded scholarships to early- and mid-career energy professionals across Africa.
The scholarship supports participation in the Power Sector Regulation in Africa course, a flagship training program designed to strengthen regulatory capacity and leadership within Africa’s evolving energy sector.
Note: The scholarship covers the online component only. The optional one-week in-person module is not funded, and selected participants are encouraged to seek alternative funding if they wish to attend.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be a citizen of an African country
- Currently working in the African energy sector
- Have a relevant academic and professional background:
- Master’s degree + at least 3 years’ experience, or
- Bachelor’s degree + minimum 5 years’ experience
- Demonstrate financial need
- Show commitment to applying course knowledge within their local or national context
- Commit fully to the online programme, including:
- Weekly live classes
- Online discussions
- Weekly assignments
- Final course report
Scholarship Coverage
The ASR Scholarship provides:
- Full tuition coverage for the online course
- Access to expert-led live classes and discussions
- Participation in a pan-African professional learning network
The optional in-person week is not covered by the scholarship.
