The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has officially released a major update regarding the next phase of its 2025 recruitment exercise. In an announcement signed by Maj Gen (Rtd) A.M. Jibril, Secretary to the Board, on 27th November 2025, the Board confirmed that it is set to move into the physical screening and document verification stage of the recruitment process.
This update is crucial for thousands of applicants across Nigeria who have been eagerly awaiting the next steps. Here’s everything you need to know about the CDCFIB recruitment update 2025, including shortlisted candidates, screening dates, and the Board’s official instructions.
Shortlisting Completed: Applicants Selected on Merit
According to the announcement, applicants who performed well in the earlier stages of the recruitment exercise have been shortlisted strictly on merit.
Successful candidates are required to log in to the official CDCFIB recruitment portal at:
This portal will be open for venue and date selection from Monday, 1st, to Wednesday, 3rd December 2025. Candidates must select their preferred screening centre and date within this window. Failure to do so may result in losing the opportunity to participate in the screening exercise.
Screening Dates and Locations
The Board also confirmed that the physical screening/document verification exercise will take place across all 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Screening Period: Monday 8th – Friday 12th December 2025
This decentralised screening plan ensures that applicants can attend their assessment centres without unnecessary travel burdens.
Official Communication Only Through the Portal
To prevent misinformation and protect applicants from fraud, the CDCFIB emphasised that:
- All official communication will be made ONLY through the Board’s portal.
- Emails, SMS, and third-party notifications should be ignored.
This advisory is part of the Board’s effort to ensure transparency and safeguard candidates during the recruitment process.
Transparency and Federal Character Compliance
Maj Gen (Rtd) A.M. Jibril reiterated in the announcement that the entire shortlisting process is aligned with Federal Character principles and the manpower needs of each of the services. This assures the public that the 2025 CDCFIB recruitment process maintains fairness, national representation, and merit-driven selection.
