- Demonstrate an excellent academic track record at Bachelor’s level, supported by strong references.
- Secure a provisional or unconditional admission letter for an English-taught Master’s programme at the University of Groningen.
- Meet English language proficiency requirements for the chosen programme.
- Be in good health and fit for standard health insurance in the Netherlands.
- Be available for the full duration of the programme.
- Show evidence of having no other means of financing their studies.

Application and Selection Process
The award is extremely competitive and operates on a nomination basis:
- Apply for Admission: Apply for an eligible English-taught Master’s programme by 1 December 2025.
- Review and Nomination: The Admissions Office, in collaboration with faculty admission boards, will review applications. Only candidates with outstanding academic profiles who receive admission offers by February 2025 will be considered for nomination.
- Final Selection: The Eric Bleumink Fund Committee will assess nominees and grant awards to the most exceptional candidates. There is no separate scholarship application form.
Competitiveness Note: Demand for the scholarship far exceeds the limited number of awards available, making selection highly competitive.
